Job Description
UW Medical Center - Montlake is hiring experienced Oncology Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team. Our oncology nursing opportunities may include positions on the following inpatient units:
  • Medical Oncology/Blood & Marrow Transplant (7NE)
  • Medical-Surgical Oncology (7SE)
  • Medical Oncology/Acute Leukemia (8SA)
  • Blood & Marrow Transplant (8NE/Fred Hutch Cancer Center Hospital)

WORK SCHEDULE
  • 90% FTE (36-hour per week)
  • Oncology RNs may work a day/night rotation, evening/night rotation or straight nights depending on the unit.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Screen patients for oncology treatment
  • Place IVs, and initiate, assess and observe patients during infusion
  • Provide procedural support
  • Document all activities in the Electronic Medical Record
  • Provide care management education for patients and their families

REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 1 year of current or recent Oncology experience
  • Active license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington required by start date.
  • Active BLS Certification.
