What is an Executive RCM?

An Executive RCM, or Executive Revenue Cycle Management professional, oversees and optimizes the financial processes related to patient services in healthcare organizations. Their responsibilities include managing billing, coding, claims processing, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Executive RCMs work to maximize revenue, minimize denials, and streamline the revenue cycle from patient intake to payment collection. They often lead teams, implement new technologies, and develop strategies to improve financial performance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Executive RCM, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Executive RCM, you need a deep understanding of healthcare billing, coding, reimbursement processes, and compliance, often supported by a degree in healthcare administration or a related field. Familiarity with RCM software, electronic health records (EHR), and certifications such as CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) are highly valued. Strong analytical skills, leadership, and effective communication help you optimize revenue cycles and manage cross-functional teams. These skills ensure accurate billing, regulatory compliance, and financial stability for healthcare organizations.

What are some common challenges faced by Executive RCM professionals and how can they be addressed?

Executive RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) professionals often face challenges such as navigating complex payer regulations, ensuring accurate billing and coding, and managing denials efficiently. Job description

Role:- Account Executive โ€” Healthcare AI / RCM
Location:- Edison NJ/Remote
Job Summary:
About the Role
CoOrdio is a AI-powered Revenue Cycle Management platform that automates and streamlines the full revenue cycle for healthcare providers. We're looking for a hunter-minded Account Executive who knows healthcare from the inside and can sell complex AI SaaS to operational and financial buyers across provider organizations.
What You'll Do
  1. Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close across provider groups, specialty practices, and billing companies
  2. Navigate multi-stakeholder deals involving revenue cycle directors, CFOs, and practice administrators
  3. Educate prospects on AI-driven RCM automation and articulate ROI in terms they care about ; denial rate reduction, days in AR, clean claim rate, and cost per claim
  4. Build relationships with EHR partners and channel partners (ModMed, Nextech, eCW, Athena) to drive referral pipeline
  5. Collaborate closely with product and implementation teams to ensure smooth handoffs and customer success
  6. Represent the company at healthcare conferences (HIMSS, MGMA, HFMA)
What You Bring
  1. 4โ€“7 years of SaaS sales experience in healthcare IT ; RCM, practice management, document management, or health AI
  2. Proven track record selling to provider-side buyers across medical groups, health systems, and billing companies
  3. Deep familiarity with end-to-end RCM workflows including eligibility verification, benefits determination, prior authorization, claims submission, payment posting, denial management, appeals, and AR follow-up
  4. Understanding of payer connectivity, clearinghouse ecosystems (Change Healthcare, Availity, Waystar), and EDI transaction sets (837, 835, 270/271)
  5. Comfortable discussing AI, voice agents, payer portal automation, and EHR integrations without needing engineering support on every call
  6. Familiarity with healthcare document management ; clinical documentation, payer correspondence, remittance processing, and appeal packet generation
  7. Experience with consultative, value-based selling ; you lead with workflow pain and measurable outcomes, not features
  8. Existing relationships at specialty EHRs, billing companies, or health systems is a strong plus
Nice to Have
  1. Experience selling into or alongside Epic, Athena, ModMed, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner ecosystems
  2. Background at companies like Waystar, R1, Omega Healthcare, nThrive, Greenway, or similar RCM-adjacent SaaS product companies
  3. Exposure to AI-native healthcare products and an understanding of how LLMs, voice AI, and agentic workflows are reshaping healthcare administration
