Overview
Please note that this position is contingent upon the successful award of a contract currently under bid.
Accelerating the delivery of care and providing superior force health readiness across the Military, Federal, and Civilian landscapes. Taku is committed to providing transformative and comprehensive health operational capabilities to support customers across scientific, clinical, technological, and program management areas.
Summary:
The Strategic Engagement and Congressional Coordination Support ensures timely, accurate, and well-synchronized responses to high-visibility taskings, congressional inquiries, and senior-leader engagements.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide strategic coordination across Army, DoW, and interagency stakeholders to ensure senior-leader engagements, congressional interactions, and executive taskings are synchronized and completed on time.
  • Deliver comprehensive congressional liaison support by tracking, routing, and validating congressional inquiries, RFIs, QFRs, and other legislative correspondence in accordance with established protocols.
  • Manage executive correspondence by drafting, reviewing, and coordinating executive summaries, decision papers, talking points, and background materials for senior leaders.
  • Strengthen stakeholder engagement by maintaining productive relationships with Army headquarters elements, DoW offices, legislative staff, and interagency partners.
  • Oversee action tracking and governance by monitoring suspense deadlines, decision timelines, and leadership priorities across multiple concurrent actions.
  • Support information integration by consolidating inputs from diverse organizations into coherent, accurate products that inform senior-leader decision-making.

Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple organizations and stakeholders to meet short-notice suspense requirements.
  • Strong understanding of Army, DoW, and Federal correspondence processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suit, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent actions in a fast-paced executive environment.
  • Knowledge of Army organizational structure, DoW organizational structure, legislative organizational structure, governance processes, and headquarters operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Government Affairs, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-10 years + of experience supporting executive level operations, strategic engagement, congressional affairs coordination, external affairs, or related functions.
  • Experience supporting political appointees and senior executives within the Department of War, Military Departments, Federal Government (to include legislative branch), or similarly complex organizations.
  • Experience tracking and coordinating congressional inquires, Requests for Information (RFIs), Question for the Record (QFRs), executive correspondence, and leadership taskings.
  • Experience developing briefing materials, executive summaries, talking points, decision papers, and background materials.
  • Active SECRET security clearance
