Job description

Infleqtion is seeking a highly experienced business development executive to drive strategic growth across the National Security sector. The primary focus of this role will be development of large, multi-year programs within the Department of War (DoW) and the broader U.S. defense and intelligence ecosystem.
In this role, you will bring breakthrough quantum sensing and computing solutions to America's warfighters - advancing capabilities across contested environments, denied/degraded PNT scenarios, advanced ISR missions, space operations, and other critical national defense priorities.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of quantum-enabled national security, working directly with program offices, research labs, FFRDCs, Defense Primes, and senior decision-makers across the DoW and Intelligence Communities.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will play a key role within the go-to-market organization, engaging, and expanding our accounts within the government sector.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of DOW and IC funding priorities and program objectives to create, identify, shape, and pursue high-value opportunities aligned with Infleqtion technologies, solutions, and capabilities.
  • Engage directly with government stakeholders, including Program Acquisition Executives (PAEs), Program Executive Offices (PEOs), procurement officers, OTA consortia, S&T/RDT&E directorates, and Combatant Commands, to understand mission needs and shape acquisition pathways.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through disciplined account planning, opportunity qualification, and alignment of Infleqtion capabilities to operational and programmatic requirements.
  • Partner closely with Infleqtion's capture and execution teams, subject matter experts, marketing team, government affairs, and proposals and contracts organization to successfully drive opportunities through to closure.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships across key DoW organizations, including service labs (ARL, NRL, AFRL, etc.), major program offices, and senior uniformed/civilian leadership.
  • Leverage existing relationships and contacts and form new ones to collaborate closely with Defense Prime partners on capture, teaming, and integration strategies to position Infleqtion's technologies within large platform and mission-system programs.
  • Represent Infleqtion at industry days and other solicitation events, demos, conferences, and other related forums, articulating technology value and operational relevance.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting to support corporate planning and revenue execution.

Requirements
Deep technical and domain knowledge, strong relationships, and a comprehensive understanding of the government funding, program, and procurement processes. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
Education and experience
  • BS in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; advanced degree beneficial.
  • 10+ years of experience in the defense sector; military service- background or direct industry experience in electronic warfare, PNT, air defense, national space security, time and frequency, or ISR are especially valuable.
  • Experience working for or with a Defense Prime or major government research agency (e.g. DARPA, ARL, NRL, AFRL, ONR, etc.).
  • Significant experience selling complex early stage technologies to US Government into enterprise-scale, multi-year, defense programs.
  • Robust network inside key DoW offices, including PEOs, PMs, S&T organizations, combatant commands, service research laboratories, and FFRDCs.
  • Active DoW or IC security clearance required.
  • Experience with quantum technologies or advanced sensing preferred.

Desired skills
  • Deep understanding of DoW acquisition pathways, including FAR-based contracts, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, BAAs, Broad Agency Announcements, consortium-based solicitations, and rapid acquisition frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success penetrating and influencing large defense programs, including experience shaping requirements, program roadmaps, and positioning emerging technologies for program-of-record pathways.
  • Strong command of national-security mission needs where quantum sensing can provide operational advantage- EW, PNT, ISR, space, missile defense, and advanced sensing including quantum-based time and frequency solutions.
  • Proven ability to operate in early-stage / low-TRL environments, guiding customers through technology maturation, experimentation, and transition-to-fielding processes.
  • A detailed working knowledge of relevant processes and protocols and demonstrated success collaborating with or within Defense Primes on business development, capture, teaming, and integration strategies to align Infleqtion technology with large platform or mission system procurements.
  • Strong influence skills with senior uniformed and civilian leadership, capable of articulating strategic value to SES, O-6+, and equivalent senior government officials.
  • Ability to develop and deliver credible technical narratives, simplifying complex quantum sensing capabilities to support compelling value propositions at the platform or mission system level for diverse stakeholders - operators, acquisition officers, technologists, and policymakers.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when working in classified environments, with proven ability to operate effectively in interactions up to the TS/SCI level in multi-agency settings; SAP/SAR program experience is considered beneficial.
