Assist Detail Leader, Executive Protection Specialist

The Assist Detail Leader, Executive Protection Specialist will provide professional, discreet, and proactive protection support to the CEO, President, Managing Directors, and other designated senior leaders. This role reports directly to the Executive Protection Detail Leader. This role requires a highly trusted security professional who can operate with sound judgment, build strong relationships with front office staff and leadership, and lead protective operations in a manner that supports executive safety, privacy, productivity, and confidence.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide executive protection support for the CEO, President, Managing Directors, and other assigned senior leaders during daily movements, business meetings, events, and domestic or international travel.
  • Serve as assist team leader during protective details, coordinating assignments, communications, schedules, and operational readiness.
  • Conduct advance work, site assessments, route planning, and threat or vulnerability reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with front office staff, executive assistants, senior leadership, internal partners, and external security stakeholders.
  • Exercise discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when handling sensitive executive, business, and personal information.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement, venue security, travel teams, event planners, and internal security partners to ensure seamless protective operations.
  • Monitor changing conditions, maintain situational awareness, and adjust protective measures based on risk, environment, and executive requirements.
  • Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, medical situations, or other security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear operational briefings, post-detail summaries, incident reports, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Model high standards of integrity, trust, teamwork, communication, and accountability for the Executive Protection team.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of related work experience required. Supervisory experience required.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting C-suite executives, board members, or other senior leaders in a corporate environment.
  • Experience conducting domestic and international travel advances, high-profile event support, and executive movement planning.
  • Training or certifications in executive protection, emergency medical response, defensive driving, threat assessment, or crisis management.
  • Experience collaborating with executive assistants, corporate travel, facilities, legal, communications, and external security partners.
