Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Manager, Global Security Operations Center. This position must be based out of New Brunswick, NJ and on-site 4 days/week.

Purpose: The Senior Manager, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is a critical leadership role responsible for advancing Johnson & Johnson's commitment to protecting our people, assets, operations and reputation across a dynamic global risk environment. This role will guide the GSOC's daily performance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement by ensuring 24/7 security monitoring, incident detection, escalation, traveler support, mass notification coordination, and crisis response are delivered with consistency, professionalism, and operational excellence.

Guided by Our J&J Credo, the GSOC Senior Manager will connect internal partners and external providers to deliver integrated, intelligence-led security operations that enable timely decision-making, strengthen enterprise resilience, and support a safe and secure environment for the global enterprise.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and optimize global GSOC operations to deliver intelligence-led, risk-based security services that protect J&J people, assets, operations, products, and reputation.
  • Develop operational roadmaps and governance routines aligned to enterprise risk, crisis management, travel security, and business continuity priorities.
  • Standardize SOPs, playbooks, KPIs, SLAs, escalation protocols, and process controls across GSOC, RSOC, and LSOC interfaces.
  • Oversee 24/7 monitoring, incident triage, escalation, mass notification support, traveler accountability, and response coordination.
  • Partner across Global Security, Regional Security, Facilities Management, EHS, HR, ISRM, Communications, Executive Protection, Supply Chain Security, technology teams, and external providers to enable unified response.
  • Manage vendors and service providers through clear expectations, performance measures, governance routines, and corrective-action tracking.
  • Use data, after-action reviews, root-cause analysis, Lean principles, and lessons learned to simplify processes and improve response effectiveness.
  • Deliver operational reviews, trend analysis, dashboards, and executive-ready reporting that translate GSOC activity into actionable insights.
  • Build and coach a high-performing GSOC team grounded in ownership, sound judgment, J&J Direct communication, inclusion, innovation, and accountability.
  • Advance GSOC transformation through automation, platform integration, redundancy, and scalable future-state capabilities.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in security operations, GSOC/RSOC operations, command center management, incident response, protective services, emergency management, military, law enforcement, or a related operational risk environment.
  • Experience leading people and shift-based or 24/7 operations, with a strong focus on talent development, service quality, performance management, and accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of incident monitoring, threat assessment, triage, escalation, crisis response, traveler accountability, mass notification, and coordinated response protocols.
  • Experience developing and improving SOPs, playbooks, SLAs, KPIs, dashboards, after-action reviews, and process controls that support consistent, auditable execution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed, global organization and partner across security, facilities, EHS, HR, ISRM, communications, technology, supply chain, and external providers.
  • Strong judgment, analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to make timely decisions in dynamic operational environments.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills, including concise reporting, stakeholder briefings, and professional communication during critical incidents.
  • Experience with security technologies such as video surveillance, access control, alarm monitoring, threat intelligence, mass notification, case management systems, and Microsoft 365.
  • Master's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Risk Management, Emergency Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, research and development, or another highly regulated global industry preferred.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, after-action review, or other continuous improvement methodologies to simplify processes and improve operational outcomes preferred.
  • Professional certification such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), Associate Protection Professional (APP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), or equivalent credential preferred.

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado -48 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington -56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays -13 days per calendar year
Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
Parental Leave - 480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child
Bereavement Leave - 240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year
Caregiver Leave - 80 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
