Operations Coordinator, Executive Protection

Austin, Texas, United States Corporate Functions

The Protective Services team at Apple manages the security of our most valuable asset: our people. As one of the most closely watched companies in the world, Apple has security needs that are broad and unique. This group develops solutions for issues across our global Executive Protection, Talent Protection, and Event Security functions.

Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of protective operations for our global executive protection program. This person must be able to operate within a small team environment, support protective operations as required, and work closely with team members to ensure the safety and security of our principals and assets worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing discrete protective services, successfully operating in a small team environment, and maintaining strict confidentiality. Strong candidates will possess a high level of business acumen and are polished communicators. will require occasional travel.Key responsibilities include:Provide regular stakeholder briefings and updates as needed.Develop, maintain, and enhance standard operating procedures.Coordinate training and oversee compliance program.Manage vehicle fleet and ensure it remains in top readiness at all times.Oversee security team gear and equipment inventory.Assist with managing operational budget, associated vendors, and other related programs.Track, analyze, and report on key program metrics.Leverage AI and other advanced technology to create and enhance workflows across all program areas.Partner closely with executive protection leadership on special projects and initiatives.Assist residential security program manager with physical security upgrades, vendor management, and other related requirements.Prioritizes strategies through a holistic approach to security to anticipate, identify, and mitigate risk.Assist with planning, organizing, and executing global protective services as required.Able to quickly collect, analyze, and disseminate information in a timely manner.Ability to work under stressful conditions and often times in ambiguous environments.Coordinate regularly with cross-functional team members, internal business units, and various service providers and agencies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 7 years professional experience in executive protection, international security, law enforcement, or military service is required.
  • Must understand and have demonstrated experience in protection concepts to include protective intelligence, protective security, secure transportation, logistics, contingency planning, vendor management and have experience in international and domestic travel.
  • Working knowledge of physical security systems to include, but not limited to intrusion detection systems, CCTV, drones, and other security related software/hardware.
  • Technologically savvy. Should have strong computer skills and be proficient in the development of Keynote presentations.
  • Must be in good physical condition and capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Available for on-call for emergencies and must be adaptable to constantly changing schedules which may include weekends and holidays also available for occasional travel, often on short notice, including globally.

  • Tech sector experience highly desired.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, collaborative abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience providing operational and administrative support to high-tempo, high-output global protective operations teams highly desired.
  • Able to work with highly confidential information.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • Self-motivated, able to work without direct supervision, and understand security concepts and theories. Adept at identifying and managing vendors for concurrent projects globally.
  • Must have exceptional organizational, time management, and problem solving skills.
