Job description

Job Title: Executive Consultant Location: Remote Work Authorization: US Citizen

Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Executive Consultant to provide strategic policy, organizational, and executive advisory support to the Client. The consultant will develop policy guidance, executive communications, strategic planning documents, and recommendations supporting national wildfire management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities • Advise executive leadership on policy and operational initiatives. • Conduct strategic planning sessions. • Develop policy guidance, workflows, and implementation plans. • Prepare executive briefings, talking points, and reports. • Analyze operational data and provide evidence-based recommendations. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. • Support organizational transformation initiatives. • Develop communication strategies and policy documentation.

Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field with at least ten (10) years of progressive experience; OR • Twenty (20) years of experience directly related to fire response.

Required Experience Candidates should demonstrate recent USFS experience supporting: • Congressional Large Fire Review Reports. • National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) initiatives. • Wildland Fire Workforce Assessment and Planning. • Firefighter Separation Analysis. • Annual 1039 extension requests. • OPM policy initiatives. • FAM organizational restructuring. • Human Resources and FAM systems integration. • Executive operations and headquarters standardization initiatives.

Preferred Skills • Exceptional executive communication skills. • Policy analysis and strategic planning. • Federal government experience. • Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership abilities.
