Job description

So, what's the role all about?

The Carrier Relations & Routing Specialist owns NICE's day-to-day relationships with its voice carrier partners. This role manages rate negotiations and target pricing, builds and optimizes multi-carrier routing, and monitors traffic and performance to keep NICE competitively priced and reliably connected. Success in this role looks like strong carrier partnerships, healthy margins, and routes that perform the way they're supposed to.

How will you make an impact?

Owns end-to-end relationships with NICE's voice carrier partners, serving as the primary point of contact for commercial and operational issues.
Negotiates rates and sends monthly target rate profiles to carriers, evaluating counter-offers to secure competitive, margin-protecting pricing.
Builds, manages, and continuously optimizes routing schemes across multiple carriers for Toll-Free and Termination traffic.
Monitors multi-carrier traffic and routing performance, using reporting and troubleshooting to catch and resolve deviations before they affect customers.
Handles carrier routing issues, including risk mitigation, cost analysis, and restoration of services.
Provides carrier traffic forecasts to anticipate and manage network demands.
Monitors carrier traffic capacity and initiates necessary augments.
Collaborates with vendors for problem resolution and status updates.
Works with business partners to address issues, support projects, and handle work requests.
Performs data profiling to identify and correct anomalies, preventing revenue loss.
Develops and maintains Microsoft Power BI reports and Telelink-7 for data reporting.
Processes and loads rate decks to Sonus/Ribbon SBCs to keep routing configurations current, and serves as a go-to resource for colleagues on carrier and routing matters.

Have you got what it takes?

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Telecommunications, Information Systems Management, or equivalent work experience.
3+ years managing carrier, vendor, or supplier relationships in a wholesale voice, telecom, or enterprise network services environment.
Experience negotiating rates, targets, or contract terms with carriers or suppliers, with comfort doing cost and margin analysis.
Working knowledge of voice routing concepts such as least-cost routing, SIP trunking, and carrier trunking; hands-on session border controller experience is a plus but not required.
Proficient with Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools; comfortable building dashboards from carrier and traffic data.
Strong analytical skills - able to spot pricing and routing anomalies in data and turn them into action.
Excellent relationship-management and communication skills; comfortable serving as the face of NICE to external carrier partners.
Experienced in voice traffic and routing analysis, and proficient with MS Office and Visio.
