The Opportunity

Develop long-term, profitable business relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Accounts. Act internally as specialist of this account and transparently share necessary information to develop account strategy and value propositions with cross-functional teams to serve the client. Collaborate with BV offered solutions to solve client's complex challenges and needs. Work closely with Enterprise Evolution team sales and marketing teams to position BV effectively in the marketplace. Collaborate to measurably strengthen overall client engagement and bring the voice of the client internally to improve long-term client loyalty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagement activities from identification and opportunity creation to multi-solution business capture
  • Keep the Client Relationship Management tool updated and aligned with governance to ensure accurate tracking and management of client relationships.
  • Develop Account Strategy and Value Propositions with Account team members for addressing client issues and building long-term, profitable business opportunities.
  • Generate and qualify sales and marketing leads
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Marketing and Strategy to proactively improve BV reputation and relevance as an innovative thought leader (thought leadership, industry experience, etc.)
  • Accountable for overall client satisfaction and conducting client satisfaction surveys.
  • Full understanding of the deal; including margins, risks, terms & conditions, etc.
  • Deep understanding of the industry and the needs of our clients, with strategic planning of new business growth
  • Alongside the Client Segment Director, develop and execute on long-term plans that drive growth & profitability
  • Regular interaction with the Black & Veatch Leadership Team on complex and multi-dimensional Sales matters. Influences the decisions made by the Leadership Team related to Sales direction.
  • Industry expertise within the EPC arena
Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree preferred, with technical or business focus. Relevant experience in lieu of degree may be accepted.

Mining and Metals experience in the industry.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Typically 15-20 years of experience within the EPC industry, including 10 years in sales or project execution. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience developing, maintaining and executing strategic sales plans
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly, and to convert technical or complex information and concepts into easily understandable content
  • Firm understanding of competition and differentiators.
  • Experience using Salesforce is preferred
  • Experience managing a sales team
