POSITION SUMMARY: The shuttle driver is responsible for transporting employees to and from work using company passenger vans and full-size bus if CDL certified. Drivers perform daily operational checks, operate vehicles within posted speed limits and practice defensive driving appropriate for conditions. Drivers run routes to scheduled times and make stops at local grocery store, gear stores and other appropriate stops as needed by employees.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Operate 45-passenger bus that requires Class A CDL with passenger endorsement license.
Operate within posted speed limits and following all motor vehicle laws of the State of Colorado.
Demonstrates defensive driving daily.
Complete pre-operational vehicle check before each shift and complete form.
Report any issues with the vehicles immediately to Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor.
Stay on schedule throughout shift.
Drive employees to work comp appointments, to housing unit for check in, may include trips to Denver International Airport.
Assist with snow shoveling at Log Cabin and Base Lodge in between routes.
Check in with HR about tasks and errands to do during down time, may include parking cars, shoveling snow, running errands.
Sanitize vehicles daily during and after each shift and keeps vans free of trash.
Create friendly, helpful, approachable experience for employees.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as a positive, professional role model, adhering to the company’s hospitality standards.
Maintain an exceptional level of guest service in all interaction with guests, fellow employees, and management.
Assist and support other departments for races, events and operations on high volume days.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to drive at night and in winter weather conditions.
Talking to others to convey information effectively.
Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must have a valid US Driver’s License.
Must clear MVR check and satisfy company insurance requirements.
Must have at least 5 years driving experience.
Experience driving at night and in cold, wet, snowy, icy conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
Dexterity, vision, auditory abilities to operate a vehicle within State of Colorado guidelines.
Sit, Stand, Walk, Lift, Push, Shovel, Carry.
Shifts range from 6am – 11pm.
Verbal and auditory abilities necessary for communication with others.
