WE LOVE OUR WORK.
  • Assist & Direct Housekeeping Assistant Shift Managers and Housekeeping team members to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in hotel guest rooms and hotel public spaces.
  • Ensure guest rooms and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Tour facility checking all public areas, evaluating the performances of the housekeeping team members.
  • Inspects facilities and recommends repairs and upgrades when needed.
  • Counsel team members in a positive, constructive manner, as necessary.
  • Assist with scheduling the workforce to ensure all areas and shifts are adequately covered.
  • Initiate and direct heavy cleaning so that the highest level of productivity is maintained and completion schedules are met.
  • Assist with cross-training team for all shift-related duties and responsibilities.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining a safety program for all housekeeping team members.
  • Assist with training all housekeeping team members in OSHA standards and regulations and documentation.
  • Assist with ordering supplies and ensuring all par levels are maintained for the housekeeping team.
  • Conduct meetings with Housekeeping Assistant Shift Managers to discuss job functions, teamwork, team development, concerns, and questions.
  • Assist with the hiring of line team members for Housekeeping.
  • Develop, evaluate, and recommend candidates for promotions.
  • Complete team member evaluations as set forth in established Company policy.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work; initiative; well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
  • Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints. Excellent analytical, problemsolving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to conduct analyses and generatereports to reflect findings; direct a work force, provide support to staff and delegate job duties.
  • Ability to express ideas or make recommendations concerning job related issues; Ability to learn specific job duties and complete work assignments; Maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques. Ability to perform the manipulation of numbers and basic math calculations.

Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in business/hospitality or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in management, preferably housekeeping environmental services area. Knowledge of scheduling and inventory control. Experience in floor and carpet care.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
