PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Willingness and ability to assist in the day to day operations of a warehouse distribution complex with an emphasis to successfully meet the needs of the companies’ customers in an efficient and safe manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Aptitude to work and operate mobile equipment and mechanical operating systems.

Assist in the transfer of bulk commodities (generally fertilizer in liquid or dry form) from inbound vehicles such as a river barge, railcar and/or truck to a bulk storage tank or warehouse, ultimately then for transfer to a suitable outbound vehicle for delivery to company customers.

Inspect, perform and document general preventative equipment maintenance, assist in the repair of various pieces of mobile equipment and/or mechanical operating systems so as the assets remain in an effective operating condition, plus participate in the maintenance of the facility grounds to portray a positive company image at all times.

Willingness to follow company safety and operating procedures and effectively work with and communicate with fellow employees.

Ability to learn all administrative activities associated with the facility regarding the processing of receipt, storage and shipment of product and other assigned administrative tasks.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Ensure Customers are served professionally by providing timely, responsive and adaptive Customer service.

Follow GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OHSA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Demonstrate the ability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as one gain experience in one’s current role.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof with generally three years experience.

Prefer general knowledge and understanding of facility operations, industrial equipment operation, and barge unloading/loading.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Frequently exposed to the following conditions:  Extreme weather (hot, cold, wet, etc.), noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safely measures.

May be required to work at varying heights and confined spaces.

Must be able to lift 71-100 lbs.

Will be required to work extended hours.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
