• 1st Shift: 6am-230pm (Monday-Friday)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performs all semi-skilled jobs in department.
• Assignments are scheduled on a daily basis by the department Supervisor and may involve working any shift.
• Uses a wide variety of measuring devices and works to prints and sketches and to close tolerances.
• Requires direction only when new or experimental work is involved.
• Relieves other workers, substitutes for workers during their absences, assists in reducing excessive work loads in production centers, and performs extra work whenever and wherever needed.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment used in the production of rubber products, including milling, calendaring, cutting, curing, finishing, and inspection processes. Responsibilities include machine setup and operation, quality checks, material handling, production recordkeeping, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keeps work area clean.
• Performs other jobs as assigned by Supervisor.
• Daily cleans mill and keeps mill area in an orderly condition.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in the set up and operation of the department production equipment, knowledge of various styles and types of stocks, understanding of the work routines and performance standards of the job title.
• High School diploma or equivalent required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Manufacturing Floor Position: Ability to perform sedentary work, spending extended periods of time working with a computer. Physical effort may include stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions. Clarity of vision to see near and mid-range. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $26.20 - $28.29 hourly. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
