When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.

The Director, Allied Health Development Strategies reports to the Assistant Vice President, Workforce Planning and Development and leads the development and execution of enterprise workforce strategies for critical allied-health occupations across Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH).
The role focuses particularly on difficult-to-fill positions requiring significant education, clinical preparation, credentialing, licensure, or extended lead time, including radiologic technologists, advanced imaging modalities, surgical technologists, and other priority roles identified through workforce data and operational need.

Job Description:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and execute short- and long-term enterprise workforce strategies for priority allied-health occupations, aligned with operational needs and BILH workforce plans.

Analyze workforce demand, vacancy and turnover trends, retirement risk, labor-market supply, education-program capacity, clinical-placement capacity, and time-to-qualification.

Establish transparent criteria for prioritizing occupations and investments.

Develop business cases and a balanced portfolio of workforce solutions.

Lead BILH’s strategy for allied-health student placements.

Build strategic relationships with colleges, universities, workforce boards, community organizations, state agencies, grant funders, and other external partners.

Build strong partnerships with clinical and operational executives, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and local education leaders.

Collaborate with Workforce Planning and Development colleagues to ensure an integrated portfolio.

Establish consistent governance, operating standards and decision criteria.

Design programs with an equitable-access lens.

Define and monitor performance measures and use data to drive continuous improvement.

Develop and manage operating and grant-funded budgets.

Hire, onboard, develop, and manage team members.

Represent Allied Health Strategies on the Workforce Planning and Development Leadership Team.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in workforce development, workforce strategy, allied-health education, healthcare operations, academic partnerships, talent pipelines, complex program leadership, or related work.

Physical Requirements & Environment

Ability to travel throughout Eastern Massachusetts as needed.

Hybrid work model with expectation of at least two days per week on site.

Pay Range:

$140,000.00 USD - $165,000.00 USD
