Location: Stephenson County IL
Pay: $31/hour | Full-Time
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM start time
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM start time
Position Overview:
A local employer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support and maintain production equipment within their manufacturing facility. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems.
- Diagnose issues involving motors, sensors, robotics, servo systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures, including working at heights and in industrial environments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, parts usage, and repairs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industrial manufacturing maintenance experience
- High-voltage troubleshooting and knowledge of AC/DC systems
- Experience working with electric motors
- Food manufacturing equipment troubleshooting experience
- Automation and PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) knowledge
- Understanding of relay logic and pneumatics
- Welding experience, including shielded arc welding
- Familiarity with sensors, robotics, and servo mechanisms
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Precision measuring abilities to ensure accurate repairs
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
