Position: Business Development Executive
Reports to: Director of Business Development
Department: Sales
Status: Regular Full-Time Position - Exempt/Salary
Position Value Proposition
As the Regional Sales Executive, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and increasing profitability through strategic sales initiatives in the Southern California region. This role is focused on establishing and expanding relationships in the commercial structural steel and construction markets, with an emphasis on large, complex multi-million-dollar projects. You will collaborate cross-functionally with preconstruction, estimating, engineering, MBE, marketing, and proposal coordination teams to deliver results and consistently meet or exceed annual sales goals that align with the long-term vision of the company. This high-visibility role positions you as the face of the company in the market.
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a market strategy leveraging company strengths to drive pipeline growth in projects aligned with business and regional criteria.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring ongoing engagement and trust.
  • Work closely with the Director of Business Development to implement and refine regional sales strategies.
  • Identify competitive advantages and new market opportunities for sustainable long-term growth.
  • Act as a key driver in securing structural steel projects within commercial construction markets.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and professional network to expand market presence.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal departments to ensure alignment on sales objectives.
  • Implement sales strategies that focus on delivering high-value, complex steel projects for long-term clients.
  • Travel up to 25 % within the designated region to meet with clients, attend industry events, and engage with project stakeholders.

Software & Technology
  • Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-related software such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and estimating tools.
  • Familiarity with Concur Software for expense tracking (training provided).

Work Environment & Travel
  • Regular travel within the Southern California region to engage with clients and industry partners.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
