Job description


Primary Responsibilities
โ€ข Prepare, verify, and document raw materials, dopants, seeds, and charge calculations per controlled procedures
โ€ข Assemble and inspect hot zones to ensure mechanical integrity and thermal symmetry
โ€ข Set up, operate, and monitor CZ growth systems for SGGG production; support additional oxide systems as needed
โ€ข Maintain operational control of key growth parameters to ensure repeatable execution within defined process windows
โ€ข Identify and respond to process drift, equipment instability, or infrastructure-related interruptions
โ€ข Execute controlled heat-up, growth, and cooldown sequences to minimize thermal stress and yield loss
โ€ข Perform in-process and post-growth evaluations in compliance with traceability and quality requirements
โ€ข Accurately record process data, deviations, and observations in controlled documentation systems
โ€ข Participate in root-cause investigations related to yield loss and equipment stability
โ€ข Train and mentor junior technicians; review setups for procedural compliance
โ€ข Maintain strict adherence to safety and high-temperature operating standards
Required Experience and Skills
โ€ข Minimum eight (5) years of experience in CZ crystal growth or high-temperature oxide manufacturing
โ€ข Proven ability to independently operate complex crystal growth systems in a production environment
โ€ข Strong knowledge of thermal management, melt behavior, and process repeatability
โ€ข Experience with controlled documentation, deviation management, and manufacturing discipline
โ€ข Demonstrated troubleshooting capability for crystal growth systems and infrastructure-related disruptions
โ€ข Mechanical aptitude for hot zone assembly and equipment upkeep
โ€ข Proficiency in data entry systems and Microsoft Office tools
โ€ข Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and process ownership mindset
Desired Qualifications
โ€ข Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Materials Science, or related technical discipline
โ€ข Experience with SGGG and/or similar high-temperature oxide materials
โ€ข Experience supporting transition from development to standardized production
โ€ข Experience mentoring less-experienced technicians
