Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO)

Everforth ECS is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to support our Navy Program Office in Crystal City, VA.

Responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily administration of all security aspects of assigned programs, personnel program access requests, visit requests, travel briefings, security training, COMSEC accountability, and maintaining separate security facility and associated systems in support of contract.
  • Assisting program management in understanding and implementing security initiatives and developing risk management methodologies to minimize cost while maximizing protection to the program's most sensitive assets.
  • Executing security requirements and establishing a secure mission environment in accordance with National Security guidelines and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), DoD Instructions and Manuals, Administrative Security Manuals DoDM 5210.01 Volumes 1-4, DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4 SAP Security, DoDI 5205.11 Management Administrative Oversight of SAP, DoD (I) SAP Nomination Process Memo, DoD 8500.1 Cyber Security, DoD 8570.01 Information Assurance Training, Certification and Workforce Management, 8570.01-M Workforce Improvement Management.
  • Implementing national program security policy directives throughout each phase of the acquisition cycle (i.e., research and development, testing, production, delivery, integration, launch, operations, and closeout) and providing security guidance concerning personnel, physical, operational, technical, information, industrial, counterintelligence, and computer security issues to government and contractor personnel.
  • Daily functions are a mix of PERSEC/Facility security controls and Data/records management. In addition, this position supports government Program Security officers with facility accreditation, inspections, corrective actions, and incident/reporting for any security concerns at the appropriate level of coverage. Support and coordination for maintenance and destruction of classified materials to include the oversight of integrity of the secure space at the customer's SAPF.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 5-7 years of experience, prior experience as CPSO supporting special access programs
  • Excellent communication, judgment, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and identify solutions
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance
  • Previous security experience with the Intelligence Community
  • Knowledge of the various security disciplines such as physical security, personnel security, information system security, and industrial security to determine, apply, and monitor appropriate security requirements for assigned programs.
  • Experience with standard Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel, PPT) and in-house security government systems
  • Must possess DoD TS clearance at time of application
