Job description

Job Summary


As a Field Service Technician III, you have mastered installing, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and inspecting Rees monitoring equipment used in regulated environments. Field Service Technician III will be responsible for verifying credentials lower level field technicians, ensuring accurate calibrations and efficient execution of tasks, actively engaging with customers to provide updates on annual preventive maintenance, and addressing service-related issues. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically to troubleshoot complex technical issues, including repairing Rees monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active leadership role in project executive to perform their duties to industry standard, thus ensuring technicians are qualified to properly execute installations, annual preventative maintenance, and calibration services.
  • Subject matter expert in calibration methodologies.
  • Verifying the setup and configuration of Rees monitoring equipment in customer environments, ensuring proper functionality and compatibility.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with Rees monitoring equipment that are identified during calibration executions.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on a wide range of electronic and mechanical components within Rees monitoring systems.
  • Calibrate and inspect Rees monitoring equipment to ensure accurate readings and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment used in customer facilities.
  • Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation to effectively carry out repairs and maintenance procedures during calibration procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing job plans prior to installation and submitting job status updates in accordance with project requirements.
  • Accountable for recording data to support and execute IOQ protocols.
  • Use a variety of test meters and diagnostic tools to identify equipment malfunctions and perform accurate assessments and calibrations.
  • Maintain a well-organized inventory of parts and supplies required for on-site service, ensuring availability for prompt resolution of issues determined during annual maintenance.
  • Communicate with customers to provide project updates, address service-related inquiries, and deliver exceptional customer support.
  • Collaborate with technical support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Travel to various customer facilities within the designated region to fulfill job responsibilities, providing timely and reliable service.
  • Other duties as assigned


Essential Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or associate degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of calibration experience and / or equivalent education.
  • Proven experience working with electrical, mechanical, or computer networking equipment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of test meters and diagnostic tools used in electronics, equipment maintenance, and calibrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting professionally with customers.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks to meet service deadlines.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and safely operating or climbing OSHA-compliant equipment.
  • Consistently maintains a professional appearance and adheres to high standards of personal hygiene.
  • A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and the capability to operate a company or personal vehicle are required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and inventory.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and requirements.
