Job description

Job Description
  • High School Diploma or USA equivalency
  • One year of office experience; including test coordinating
  • Basic typing skills at 40 wpm
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully complete assignments with close supervision
  • Maintains a regular filling system and processes incoming correspondence as instructed
  • Places and receives telephone calls and recorded messages
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with all departments in the District
  • Demonstrated skills in meeting the public, Dallas Independent School District Executives and other professionals
  • Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel throughout the district is integral to this job. A remote working environment /alternate work arrangement is not an option for campus-based employees/campus-based positions because regular and punctual attendance at the worksite and performing all duties at the worksite are essential job duties for all campus-based personnel.
 

  • Organizes and manages routine work activities of the office
  • Coordinates activities pertaining to the special needs of the office
  • Maintains a regular filling system and processes incoming correspondence as instructed
  • Places and receives telephone calls and recorded messages
  • Types all documents and correspondence, as required
  • Orders and maintains supplies, as needed
  • Processes all district forms
  • Responds to inquires from employees/public in accurate, knowledgeable and efficient manner
  • Communicate with departmental staff, principals, and teachers as well as others outside of the district in oral and written form
  • Accomplish assignments using computer software including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and project management applications
  • Prepare periodic status reports related to assigned functions to the immediate supervisor
  • Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned
  • Demonstrated flexibility to cope with the challenges of a rapidly changing world
  • Demonstrated willingness to remain current with the latest developments in the profession
