STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Can we count on you to keep our finances organized? The Staff Accountant plays a leading role on the main stage of business operations. This individual needs to be a QuickBooks and Excel Guru ready to perform a variety of accounting tasks and make recommendations for effective strategies. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Assist in preparation of tax returns, payments, necessary paperwork, and reports
  • Assess and research accounting issues to identify solutions
  • Analyze transactions and prepare financial reports
  • Compile accounting reports for daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities
  • Offer support and guidance during audits
  • Perform account/ledger reconciliations and oversee/manage accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions
  • Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes and accounting procedures
  • Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports
  • Establish accounting policies and procedures
  • Offer support and guidance to the accounting team
  • Balance financial records and check for inaccuracies
  • Perform other accounting related duties and tasks assigned

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL:
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting and financial procedures

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a staff accountant required
  • 3+ years of experience using QuickBooks desktop required
  • 3+ years of experience using Excel
  • Proven experience preparing corporate tax returns and financial reports
  • Knowledge of Paycom is a plus

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Work environment: In-person office setting
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours a day
  • May be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and telephone
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required, up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required due to viewing computer terminals and company data
