Job description

NPC&M is seeking an experienced Facility Mechanic | Skilled Carpenter – Commercial Construction & Maintenance, based in New Hampshire, to join our growing team. This full-time, field-based role involves managing small-to-medium commercial construction and maintenance projects across New England. Responsibilities include carpentry, vendor coordination, scheduling, and client communication. Minimum 10 years of commercial construction experience required.

NOTE ON WORK SCHEDULE: This is a field-based position requiring travel to client job sites. Candidates must be available for both day and night shifts - NPC&M makes every effort to distribute night shifts equitably and minimize overnight assignments per team member; however, flexibility to work days and nights according to client needs is a firm requirement of this role.

Responsibilities
  • Project scheduling of vendors & subcontractors

  • Daily communication / reporting to project manager

  • Coordination of plans and layout of overall project

  • Provide daily progress photos or before/after photos of work

  • Provide daily field report

  • Coordination with customer as needed

  • Complete misc. carpentry, maintenance, flooring, drywall/framing, concrete, etc. tasks as needed to support assignments

Requirements | Skills
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial construction (Required).

  • 10 years of experience with Carpentry (Required)

  • Excellent customer service skills set.

  • Clean driving record.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Computer skills: MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, Adobe, among others.

  • Travel as required to support assignments.

  • Availability for all working shifts.

  • Qualified candidates are required to complete a criminal background check, driving background check and drug testing.

Qualifications | Experience
  • Driver's License (Required)

  • Unrestricted Construction Supervisors’ license certificate (preferred).

  • OSHA 30 training certification.

Compensation
  • Annual salary range: $63,500 – $85,000, commensurate with experience..
