Job description

About Legacy Plumbing & Excavation

Legacy Plumbing & Excavation is a family-owned, locally-operated company serving the Portland-Vancouver metro area. We do everything from drain cleaning and water heaters to gas lines, sewer excavation, and full trenchless replacements, and we stand behind our work with real warranties. Our team brings 20+ years of hands-on experience and a reputation built on clean, skilled work and customers who call us back.

The Role

We are looking for a Plumbing Sales Consultant who loves being in front of homeowners and turning a service visit into the right long-term solution. You will run in-home appointments across the Portland-Vancouver area, size up plumbing and sewer needs, walk customers through their options, and close work you can be proud of. This is a commission-forward role with strong earning potential for someone who builds trust quickly and follows through.

What you will do

  • Meet with homeowners in their homes to assess plumbing, water heater, gas line, and sewer or excavation needs

  • Present clear repair and replacement options, including financing when it fits

  • Build honest, warranty-backed proposals customers feel good about

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets

  • Follow up on open estimates and keep every opportunity moving

  • Coordinate with our field technicians and office team so jobs get scheduled and completed on time

  • Keep accurate notes and pipeline updates in our system

  • Represent the Legacy name well in every home you enter

What we are looking for

  • Experience in in-home or field sales, ideally in plumbing, HVAC, home services, or a related trade

  • A track record of hitting sales goals and closing at the kitchen table

  • Comfort talking through plumbing or sewer and excavation work (we will train you on the technical side)

  • Strong communication and people skills; bilingual English and Spanish is a big plus

  • Self-motivated, organized, and reliable with follow-up

  • Valid driver license and a clean driving record

  • Basic comfort with a phone, tablet, and simple software

Compensation and benefits

  • $150,000 to $200,000 per year

  • Uncapped 8% commission on the work you sell

  • Steady flow of qualified leads from an established local brand

  • Training, support, and a team that has your back

  • Room to grow as the company grows

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility around customer appointments.
Location: In-home appointments across the Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA metro area.

If you are a closer who cares about doing right by customers, we would love to meet you.
