Job description

Six Arrows Land Management is a growing tree service and excavation contractor specializing in premium residential and light commercial projects. Our diverse capabilities range from precision tree removal to large-scale land clearing, structural excavation, grading, and site preparation for new construction, as well as driveway grading and other site prep needs. As an agile, owner-operated company with an aggressive growth trajectory, we fuse top-tier service with a strong focus on building an elite, dependable field team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-integrity, motivated Equipment Operator / Laborer to join our crew. This dynamic, hybrid role requires an individual who is highly skilled in operating heavy machinery—specifically skid steers and mini-excavators—but is equally willing to jump out of the cab to assist with manual ground operations. Experience in tree care or arboriculture is highly advantageous but not required.

This is a premier career opportunity for an ambitious, growth-minded professional looking to build a career from the ground up alongside an entrepreneurial owner. You will work directly with leadership, significantly influencing the operational success and future scale of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate skid steers, excavators, and related site equipment.
  • Ground Support: Perform vital manual labor tasks to ensure efficient, safe site completion.
  • Logistics & Hauling: Safely transport equipment, materials, and debris using trucks and commercial trailers.
  • Asset Maintenance: Conduct daily preventative maintenance and basic upkeep on machinery and fleet vehicles.
  • Operational Agility: Adapt seamlessly to changing site conditions, priorities, and daily project requirements.
  • Safety Leadership: Maintain a spotless safety record and a professional, organized job site environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Technical Experience: Proven hands-on experience operating earthmoving equipment (skid steers/excavators).
  • Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Hauling Proficiency: Demonstrated comfort and experience safely hauling equipment trailers.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work comfortably outdoors in fluctuating weather conditions.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work long operational hours, early mornings, and occasional weekends.
  • Core Values: Exceptionally reliable, self-motivated, team-oriented, and solution-driven.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic mechanical skills or equipment troubleshooting capabilities are strongly preferred.

Work Schedule & Seasonal Consistency

  • Spring / Summer: Peak season demand averages 50+ hours per week, providing excellent earning potential.
  • Winter Weather Commitment: While winter weather can occasionally limit site work, leadership is deeply committed to crew stability and will proactively exhaust all options to ensure consistent hours and winter project continuity.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience and skill
  • W-2 employment with opportunities for advancement
  • A chance to grow with a company from the ground up
  • A hard-working, no-drama environment where results and work ethic matter
