Job Identification:
• Immediate Supervisor: Mission Services Manager or Missions Services Supervisor
• EEOC Class: Professionals
• FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Wage: $24.00 to $29.00/hour.
Maximum Range is provided as an example of the Wage/salary range for each position and its earning capacity given factors such as time in position, longevity with the company, education level, and performance experience. Newly entering employees should expect to enter at the minimum level.
Job Summary:
The Employment Services Coordinator performs vocational case management, job readiness, job development and placement, and other duties to support assigned Mission Services programs.
Please note that this position has a 180 day introductory period.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Recruits program participants through activities such as solicitating referral sources, attending community events, and speaking with self-referred individuals.
• Performs program enrollment activities such as orientations and intakes.
• Develops individualized service plans for job search, training, work experience, and/or subsidized employment for individuals who are justice involved.
• Prepares program participants for employment through job readiness workshops and/or one-on-one meetings to develop materials such as the master application, relevant work skills, identifying barriers to employment, resumes, cover letters, mock interviews, etc.
• Develops and continues relationships with employers, community organizations and leaders to assist participants in gaining and/or maintaining employment and/or work experience.
• Researches, understands, and utilizes local labor market information to help individuals make informed career choices.
• Meets with employers to give presentations/information that are designed to learn about the needs of the business, describe supports offered by the program, and describe individuals' strengths that are relevant to the position.
• Implements relationship-building strategies with employers including presentations, special events, employer acknowledgement, and networking.
• Performs job retention services for the designated time period and verifies employment as needed.
• Assists program participants with job coaching and mentoring necessary to maintain employment as necessary.
• Monitors program participants who are in Occupational Skills Training
• Provides outreach services in a variety of methods, as necessary, to individuals when they appear to disengage from the service.
• Assists participants with onboarding/orientation activities as needed.
• Maintains documentation related to participant participation to include timesheets, performance evaluations, and paystubs for participants in work experience or subsidized employment.
• Participates in team meetings with internal staff and outside providers, as appropriate, and communicate individually with team members between meetings in order to coordinate.
• Maintains all documentation on assigned cases including up-to-date case notes, updating any required databases, completely required reports, and assembles documentation for billing.
• Adheres to program standards and outcomes as outlined in program policies/procedures, program contracts, and referral and accreditation agency standards.
• Works with the Santa Barbara County Probation Department on a continuous basis.
• Attends Santa Barbara County Probation hours on a continuous basis.
• Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to speak/read/write proficient English; Bilingual skills preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office 365.
• Ability to market and place individuals with disabilities, lack of skills, negative work history, justice- involved, and/or multiple barriers to employment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Works well under pressure and with deadlines; ability to multitask.

Required Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background. Individuals must have a valid driver's license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and a clean driving record.
