  • We are hiring immediately for a full time HOUSEKEEPER UTILITY positions.
  • Location: University of Tennessee Medical Center - 1924 Alcoa Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full time schedules. 7:00 a - 3:30 pm, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, and 6:00 pm - 2:30 am, days may vary. Further details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Prior utility experience preferred.

  • Pay Range: $16.35 per hour to $19.15 per hour.

Job Summary
Summary: Maintains facility areas and keeps equipment clean and orderly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintains and services cleaning equipment.
  • Stocks cleaning carts with supplies.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in storeroom and closets.
  • Collects, transports, and disposes of trash, bio-hazardous materials following established safety protocols.
  • Fixes and maintains cleaning equipment.
  • Identifies potential safety hazards and acts accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to push containers weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Mechanical abilities to fix and maintain cleaning equipment.
  • Great communication skills.
