Full time
Day shift
5:30 am - 2:00 pm including one weekend per month

Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Maintains knowledge and has a firm understanding of all areas that the EVS department cleans; Conducts the training and orientation of all new employees.
  • Organizes and conducts the necessary continued training of current EVS staff when needed.
  • Helps facilitate proper coverage of schedules; Will help ensure daily schedules and projects are completed.
  • Is responsible for supervision of EVS staff in the absence of the EVS Manager.
  • Performs and promotes daily quality control behaviors that promotes accountability and improves patient satisfaction.
  • The ability to work different hours and shifts to accommodate training needs.
  • Assists the EVS Manager with the execution of procedures for cleaning spaces within the facility to ensure the desired quality outcome, excellent visible impressions and a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
  • Maintains working knowledge of and follows safety and infection control standards, Environment of Care Compliance and maintains regulatory requirements including state, federal and Joint Commission regulations.
  • Will be assigned a specific department to clean and care for when not in the training role.

Requirements for this position include:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Experience as a lead of hospital or EVS staff preferred
  • Familiarity with healthcare/EVS sanitation methods
  • Able to strip/refinish floors using appropriate equipment; properly use powered brushes/pads; ability to lead staff preferred
  • Current, valid Wisconsin Driver's License
