FT - Fleet Trailer Mechanic

Position Summary: Fleet Trailer Mechanic
Responsible for all major repairs, which include electrical, structural, suspension, breaks and accident damage within the transportation truck shop. Perform all maintenance tasks that ensure a functional and operational transportation fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, exterior/ interior repair, suspension, brake and electrical issues or defects.
  • Perform all repairs and maintenance on refrigeration equipment. (If Applicable)
  • Perform welding functions as needed
  • Strive to find more efficient ways to complete jobs and seek to reduce costs by improving labor productivity.
  • Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with ADUSA Transportation standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
