CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret
WORK SHIFT: 1st Shift (9/80A)
TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time
Responsibilities:
• Lead engineering teams supporting Flight Software and Ground Support Equipment Software.
• Manage the entire Software development efforts.
• Plan, organize, and manage technical activities.
• Serve as a Cost Account Management (CAM) and present to senior-level management on cost, schedule, and technical risks and opportunities.
• Perform integration and development hardware systems.
• Promote a collaborative environment between different disciplines and organizations resulting in teams that can effectively solve problems as the arise and proactively prevent things from becoming issues.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Engineer Embedded Software (IPT Lead):
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 6 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience leading an engineering team or project.
• Previous Cost Account Management (CAM) & EVMS duties and responsibilities.
• Risk/Opportunity/Issue management experience related to complex hardware and software subsystems.
• Experience with integration of electronics into a system of systems.
• Must have an active Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications for Staff Engineer Embedded Software (IPT Lead):
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• The ability to obtain an SAP clearance.
• Experience with complex issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with Flight Software.
• Extensive experience with software and system architecture.
