Job description

SUMMARY:

Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, modification, and overall support of the Slot Accounting, Patron Management, Check/Credit, Marketing/Promo, and POS/PMS Systems. Ensure electronic gaming machines (EGMs), slots machines, and interconnected gaming hardware & software interface with all casino systems accordingly. The Gaming Administrator must have an understanding of casino systems hardware, software, communications, and data flow at the device, machine, network, and server levels. Must be able to work with proprietary casino systems, applications, hardware, and vendors that facilitate casino reporting and casino data. Must have an understanding of slot server & hardware parameters that affect slots and casino systems network-wide. Works closely with casino departments to build and maintain casino systems infrastructure and operations. Plans, configures, deploys, monitors casino systems and makes modifications & upgrades as needed. Works closely with other Administrators to build and maintain overall infrastructure. Assists overall IT operations with adherence to IT Policy & Procedures, CRIT TICS and Compact.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall casino systems.
  • Provide overall management of the daily administration of casino gaming systems.
  • Provides casino system configurations for casino users and casino services.
  • Designs, configures, deploys, and maintains software and hardware related to casino systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with gaming applications, workstations, servers, and devices interconnected to casino systems.
  • Configures selected casino systems software & hardware, maintaining proper security levels and access

to casino systems.

  • Responsible for deploying approved media content to casino gaming devices & systems.
  • Responsible for configuring the approved modification of casino gaming devices & systems.
  • Works with casino departments & gaming regulatory for approved modifications to casino systems.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of technology.
  • Contacts vendors with regards to software and hardware.
  • Ensures quality of support by communicating with all users and offering assistance as needed.
  • Works with users, vendors, and stakeholders on assigned IT projects.
  • Assists with completion of Help Desk and IT Requests.
  • Provides proper guidance and training to Network Technicians.
  • Any other duties as set forth by IT Director.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

Understanding of software and hardware related to casino systems. Knowledge of applications, software, hardware, interfaces, databases, and networking related to casino systems. Knowledge of desktop & server operating systems that casino systems are developed and built on. Knowledge of casino operations and interactions of users, and customers use of casino systems. Provide excellent communication to casino systems vendors and casino departments, to resolve proprietary issues and requests.

QUALIFICATION TIONS & REQUIREM ENTS:

Associates Degree in a MIS, Networking, Computer Science, or related network field. 2+ years of experience in a Casino Resort Operation working with Slot Accounting, Patron Management, Check/Credit, Marketing/Promo, and; or POS/PMS Systems. Equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Experience must include maintaining casino systems for an organization of more than 300+ users.Experience maintaining casino systems for a casino resort of 300+ EGM's or Slot Machines. Class 2 or Class 3 gaming a plus.

Experience configuring, supporting, maintaining, and upgrading casino systems preferably IGT Advantage, Everi, or Agilysys Systems; or equivalent casino systems certification(s).

Proven experience in Slot Accounting, Patron Management, Check/Credit, Marketing/Promo, and; or POS/PMS Systems, network, or database administrator role. Experience with casino systems implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired. Familiarity with casino operations, casino systems, and casino gaming vendors a plus. Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking.
