The banquet captain assists with the supervision of all aspects of a banquet or an event. They are responsible for training and evaluating the banquet employees. Aside from assisting with the orchestration activities among different departments, banquet captains make sure that customers have a satisfying dining experience. This is a multi-property position.


Duties:

The following are the duties of a banquet captain: assists with the planning and carries out details for banquets; trains banquet staff; arranges dining reservations; responds to complaints regarding food or service; monitors the work of the employees of an event they are captaining.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

The ideal candidate possesses integrity and strong decision making. They pay attention to details and engage in proactive problem-solving. Having a clean and neat appearance is crucial. Captains must also have excellent communication skills.
