Event Photographer- Lead

POSITION SUMMARY

Emily Chappell Productions provides in-house Photography and Videography Services for Walters Wedding Estates.

ECP is seeking to grow its team of talented and passionate professional Wedding Photographers.ย  The ideal candidate is driven by both creativity and professionalism, with a keen eye for detail and on-the-job organization.ย  This individual has excellent communication skills and is able to oversee the photography logistics of an event, including but not limited to smooth timeline and shot list execution.

While technical and creative ability, artistic pursuit, and authentic storytelling are the core of this role, the ideal ECP photographer stands out from others in that they are dedicated to ensuring a top-tier experience for our clients.ย  They demonstrate this through professionalism, punctuality, and adaptability.ย 

We offer ongoing training and support to help you further gain confidence and experience in your craft.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESย 

  • Photograph events and sessions based on the package requirements
  • Communicate directly with clients to build rapport and understand their unique needs
  • Strive to understand the clientโ€™s vision by following and satisfying their shot list requests
  • Shoot in the ECP style, maintaining consistency throughout various lighting and locations
  • Upload and deliver photos from events and sessions
  • Follow up with the Operations Team post-shoot with pertinent details and information
  • Maintain and foster a growing understanding of photographic skill and knowledge

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIESย 

  • Punctuality and timeliness both in the field and preparing for shoots/events
  • Strong communication skills for smooth and comfortable client interaction
  • A thorough mastery of photography, lighting, and its technical executionย 
  • Ability to pose and direct clients in a natural and flattering manner
  • Adaptability and flexibility in learning new techniques and styles
  • Comfort level with computers and key platforms utilized by the Company

ย EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Photographer (event/wedding experience preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time, able to move and lift objects, and capable of bending down and squatting
  • Willing to travel to multiple venues and locations throughout the primary region
  • Available to work afternoons/evenings and weekends
  • Able to work on a computer to deliver information and upload images

OTHER

  • The photographer is responsible for owning and providing care and maintenance of gear, including at least two camera bodies, multiple lenses, and lighting equipment.
  • Must have consistent and reliable access to high-speed internet (fiber, cable, or similar) and an up-to-date computer with sufficient memory for computer processing demands
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
