Job description

Team Building Events Manager Position (Full-Time, not Remote) - Birmingham, AL

Job Summary:

Manages and conducts all aspects of corporate team building events.


Events Manager duties include:

  • Independently manage all aspects of team building events: work with clients to learn their business needs to create a custom team building event, manage all logistics associated with setting up the event, manage contract negotiation and execution, handle complex issues that arise during events, manage event vendor relationships, and travel logistics.
  • Independently lead team building events providing inspirational and instructional presentations to teams of 25 - 100+ people, both in-person and virtually.
  • Travel to team building event locations nationwide and in select Canadian markets.
  • Prepare contracts, invoices, agendas, presentations and written communication used during team building events.
  • Manage event vendor agreements, relationships and logistics.
  • Work in sync with events professional vendors employed by our corporate clients, third-party event management companies and destination management companies.
  • Other tasks as assigned from time to time.


Requirements of the role:

  • Strong events management experience and skills
  • Ability to independently manage complex problems
  • Ability to conduct events (including speaking on stage) in front of large groups of people (up to 100+ people) with confidence and ease
  • Ability to travel (requires overnight travel that varies from month to month, usually 2-3 times per month for 1-2 nights each)
  • Enjoys collaborating with others
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite, Zoom, Microsoft Teams
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to grow with a company that makes a positive impact
  • Ability to move 70 lb. boxes during team building events
