Job description

The Events Manager is an experienced member of the marketing team who is stepping into a more strategic, senior-facing role. Building on proven ability to execute events, this role increasingly focuses on shaping the firmโ€™s overall event strategy and ensuring all programs drive business development, thought leadership, and brand visibility.

This role oversees the full lifecycle of a diverse event portfolioโ€”including webinars, executive-level programs, client experiences, firm-hosted conferences, and high-impact industry sponsorships and exhibits. This position balances hands-on event management with growing responsibility for event strategy, advising internal stakeholders, streamlining processes, performance tracking, and improving event outcomes. The Events Manager works closely with service line leaders, partners, and the marketing team to ensure each event aligns with firm goals, delivers a high-quality attendee experience, and offers actionable insights for continuous improvement.

The Events Manager will contribute to refining event standards, identifying opportunities to enhance attendee experience and engagement, and bringing forward insights that improve future programming. Over time, this role will take on more influence over the planning, design, and evaluation of events, while serving as a key point of contact for vendors and external partners.

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000

Location: Hybrid (on-site 1x/week on Wednesdays)

Requirements

Essential Functions:

Event Strategy & Planning

  • Manage the end-to-end execution of firm-hosted events, including webinars, in-person programs, and small conferences
  • Develop event timelines, budgets, and project plans aligned with firm goals and target audiences
  • Partner with marketing, business development, and service line leaders to identify event objectives and success metrics

Webinars & Virtual Programming

  • Coordinate all aspects of webinars, including scheduling, registration, speaker support, platform management, and post-event follow-up
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for webinar platforms and troubleshoot issues in real time
  • Ensure webinars meet CPE and compliance requirements when applicable
  • Distribute CPE to eligible participants; track all key metrics within LC Vista and SharePoint

In-Person Events & Conferences

  • Plan logistics for in-person events, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual needs, registration, and on-site execution
  • Manage firm-hosted conferences or multi-session events, coordinating speakers, agendas, and attendee experience
  • Follow up with attendees and prospects as necessary to aid in business development efforts

Sponsorships & Exhibits

  • Coordinate the firmโ€™s participation in sponsored industry events and conferences
  • Manage exhibit logistics, including booth materials, shipping, setup, staffing schedules, and on-site support
  • Track sponsorship deliverables and ensure visibility and brand standards are met
  • Maintain detailed tracking documentation of giveaway inventory; order new items as needed

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Identify, contract, and manage relationships with event vendors and venues
  • Track event budgets, expenses, and invoices; ensure events are delivered on time and within budget

Promotion & Post-Event Follow-Up

  • Collect data and event feedback as a catalyst for actionable insights; use data to build out custom reports via our CRM platform
  • Collaborate with marketing team to support event promotion through email, website, and social media channels
  • Manage registration lists, attendance tracking, and post-event communications
  • Compile post-event reports, including attendance, engagement, and ROI insights

Brand & Experience

  • Ensure all events reflect the firmโ€™s brand, culture, and commitment to professionalism and quality
  • Deliver a consistent, high-quality attendee experience across all event formats

Key Metrics for Success:

Event Execution & Quality

  • Events (webinars, hosted programs, conferences, and sponsorships) are delivered on time, on budget, and free of major errors
  • Consistent adherence to brand standards, messaging, and professional quality in all event materials

Stakeholder Satisfaction & Collaboration

  • Positive feedback from partners, service line leaders, and internal stakeholders on event planning and execution
  • Proactive communication and responsiveness to team and leadership requests

Audience Engagement & Attendance

  • Webinars and events meet target registration and attendance goals
  • Attendees engage meaningfully (Q&A, surveys, follow-up interactions) and provide positive feedback

Process & Operational Efficiency

  • Event processes, checklists, and documentation are maintained and improved over time
  • Vendor, venue, and platform relationships are managed efficiently, with minimal last-minute issues

Data & Reporting

  • Post-event reporting is complete, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner
  • Insights from events are shared with the team to inform strategy and future programming

Growth & Professional Development

  • Increasing ownership of more complex events and larger programs
  • Demonstrates initiative in suggesting improvements or innovations in the event program

What Success Looks Like

  • Events run smoothly: Each programโ€”virtual or in-personโ€”is executed with minimal issues, reflects the firmโ€™s standards, and meets the goals of the event.
  • Stakeholders trust you: Partners and internal teams rely on you for guidance, clear communication, and confidence that events will be delivered at a high level.

  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders
  • Calm and solutions-oriented under pressure, especially during live events
  • Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
