Job description

We are looking for representatives in the North East, South East, and South Central (DC, NJ, MA, NH, TX, FL, etc.

The Field Sales Representative plays a critical role in expanding Oryx’s presence across the SMB segment, serving both independent dental practices and emerging group practices (DSOs/DPOs) that are building the foundations of their growth. You’ll be the face of Oryx in your territory, building relationships, driving new business, and helping practices adopt modern, intelligent practice management software.

This is a quota-carrying role with a strong emphasis on territory development, outbound prospecting, in-person engagement, and consultative solution selling. You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Customer Success, and Clinical teams to deliver a seamless experience for prospective practices.

ResponsibilitiesSales & Territory Growth
  • Own and exceed revenue targets for new SMB customer acquisition, including single-location practices and emerging DSOs/DPOs.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: territory research, cold outreach, field visits, qualification, discovery, demo facilitation, and close.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline across general dentists, specialists, and group practice stakeholders.
  • Field-based role requiring ~80% travel within the assigned territory, with the remaining ~20% working from a home office for administrative work, planning, and follow-up.
  • Field Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Conduct in-person practice visits to build trust, run tailored discovery, and understand operational and clinical workflows.
  • Establish strong relationships with dentists, office managers, regional managers, and influencers within emerging group practices.
  • Attend industry events, regional study clubs, local dental society meetings, and DSO-focused gatherings to expand territory reach.
Outbound Prospecting & Market Development
  • Execute proactive outbound outreach (email, phone, events, field visits) to drive awareness and generate demand.
  • Partner with Marketing on localized campaigns, event strategy, and content needs that support territory growth.
  • Build partnerships with dental consultants, distribution reps, and ecosystem partners who influence purchase decisions.
Collaboration & Internal Alignment
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver tailored platform demos and highlight Oryx’s clinical/comprehensive advantages.
  • Ensure all lead, contact, and deal activity is accurately maintained in HubSpot and followed through with discipline.
  • Provide ongoing competitive intel and segment insights to help shape product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Coordinate with Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and early adoption for newly signed practices.
