Job description

(Baton Rouge, Louisiana): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking Event Staff to support a variety of events, including festivals, corporate functions, conventions, concerts, and private gatherings. The Event Staff will assist with event setup, guest services, concessions support, and event breakdown while ensuring a positive and professional experience for attendees, clients, and organizers.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, signage, and equipment.
  • Greet guests and provide directions or event information.
  • Manage registration and check-in areas for attendees.
  • Support food and beverage service areas when required.
  • Monitor event spaces to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist with crowd flow and provide excellent guest services throughout events.
  • Support event breakdown and cleanup upon event completion.
  • Follow all event safety procedures and company policies.
  • Perform additional event-related duties as assigned.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Reliable transportation to event locations throughout the Baton Rouge area.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Previous hospitality or event experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to pass a background screening.
  • For balls and galas, servers must have prior serving experience handling serving trays.
  • All cashiers and concessions employees must possess a valid parish bar card.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds as needed for setup and breakdown.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and moving equipment or event materials.
