We have an exciting opportunity for those looking for extra income. As an Event Security Personnel, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all participants at events. You will enforce venue policies and regulations, respond to emergencies, and provide assistance to attendees as needed. Your primary goal will be to prevent and mitigate security risks while ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved.
Schedule: As needed per event security schedule. Conducting interviews now!
Pay: Starts at $24 an hour
Responsibilities:
  • Patrol designated areas of the event venue to detect and deter suspicious activity.
  • Monitor crowd behavior and intervene to prevent disturbances or conflicts.
  • Check tickets and credentials to ensure only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
  • Assist with crowd control and manage lines to maintain orderly queues.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, such as medical incidents, fights, or evacuations.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Conduct security screenings, including bag checks and metal detector scans.
  • Provide directions and assistance to attendees, including locating amenities and exits.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or security breaches to supervisory staff.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and protocols for handling security-related situations.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with event attendees and staff.
  • Attend pre-event briefings and debriefings to receive instructions and share information with team members.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in security or law enforcement is preferred.
  • Prior experience in event security, crowd management, or related fields is desirable.
  • CPR/AED/ First Aide certified preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as events often take place outside of regular business hours.
  • Familiarity with security equipment, such as two-way radios, surveillance cameras, and metal detectors.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices for event security.
  • Valid state-issued security license or guard card may be required, depending on local regulations.
  • Clean criminal record and background check.
