About Your Role

As the Outside Sales Representative you will play a key role in driving revenue growth by building relationships with new and existing customers in the event rental and tenting industry. You’ll work closely with operations, estimating, and leadership to understand customer needs, provide accurate proposals, and close sales for events ranging from weddings and festivals to corporate functions and special events. This position is based in Orlando, Florida with frequent travel to client sites and event venues throughout the country.

What’s a Typical Day Look Like?

Your day may start by reviewing your sales pipeline and prioritizing your call list. You’ll follow up on inbound leads, reach out to prospective clients, and schedule face-to-face meetings or site visits. You’ll present tailored tenting and event rental solutions, discuss site requirements, assess terrain and venue layouts, and provide accurate pricing. As conversations progress, you’ll prepare and send formal proposals and follow up to close business. In the afternoon, you may meet with the Operations team to coordinate logistics for booked events or assess installation needs for complex site conditions. By day’s end, you’ll have updated CRM records, followed up with prospects, and planned next-day appointments.

What You’ll Do

Your duties include, but are not limited to:

Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Conduct outbound sales calls, in-person meetings, and site visits.
  • Present tenting and event rental solutions based on customer needs.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate proposals and pricing.
  • Close sales and meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop long-term relationships with customers, vendors, and event planners.
  • Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale.
  • Follow up promptly on inquiries, estimates, and contracts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations and Estimating to evaluate site conditions, installation needs, and equipment availability.
  • Communicate customer requirements and special event details clearly to internal teams.
  • Attend team sales meetings and share market insights.

Territory & Travel

  • Travel to client offices and event sites across the region as needed.
  • Represent the company professionally at trade shows and industry events.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven B2B outside sales experience (event rental industry experience is a plus).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a sales pipeline independently.
  • Comfort with frequent travel within assigned territory.
