Description:
  • Lead and manage multiple assembly production lines to achieve production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery commitments.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Production Supervisors to build engaged, accountable, and high-performing teams.
  • Promote and maintain a culture where Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) drive all operational decisions.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, improve productivity, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Lead Kaizen events, problem-solving activities, and process improvement projects using Lean tools and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Monitor production performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and environmental standards while promoting a safe work environment.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, EHS, and Human Resources to resolve production issues and improve operational performance.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality standards, engineering specifications, standardized work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Develop production plans, prioritize workflow, and allocate resources to meet changing production demands.
  • Foster employee engagement through effective communication, coaching, performance management, and leadership development.
  • Drive accountability by establishing performance expectations, monitoring results, and addressing performance concerns in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Promote and sustain 5S, visual management, and workplace organization throughout the manufacturing operation.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure accidents, near misses, and quality concerns are thoroughly investigated using root cause analysis, with effective corrective and preventive actions implemented.
  • Promote ethical conduct, professionalism, teamwork, and a culture of respect and continuous learning.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and progressively responsible manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role overseeing production operations, supervisors, and multiple production lines.
  • Experience in a heavy equipment, industrial equipment, automotive, or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, visual management, standardized work, and root cause problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to develop and lead supervisors and build high-performing teams through coaching, accountability, and performance management.
  • Experience using production metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive operational performance and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, inventory control, and workplace safety practices.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Materials, Maintenance, and Human Resources in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using ERP/MRP systems.
