Job description

New York City | Meatpacking District

About Rojo Room

Rojo Room is a new hospitality destination where exceptional dining, craft cocktails, live entertainment, and nightlife come together to create an unforgettable guest experience. Designed to transition seamlessly from dinner into the evening, Rojo Room offers an atmosphere that encourages guests to linger, connect, and return.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Nightlife Venue Operator (Nightlife amp; Operations Manager) to help launch and lead Rojo Room from opening day and beyond.

Working closely with ownership, this role will build the operational foundation of the business by developing the team, establishing service standards, and creating an exceptional guest experience. The Nightlife Venue Operator will oversee restaurant, bar, nightlife, entertainment, and private event operations while driving operational excellence, business growth, and long-term venue performance.

This opportunity is ideal for an entrepreneurial hospitality leader who enjoys building businesses rather than simply managing them. The successful candidate thinks like an owner, leads by example, and is passionate about creating memorable guest experiences. They are equally comfortable leading a busy Saturday night service as they are reviewing financial performance, building strategic partnerships, and identifying opportunities to grow the business.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the successful launch and daily operation of Rojo Room.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop a high-performing hospitality team.
  • Establish operational standards that deliver exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.
  • Lead restaurant, bar, nightlife, entertainment, and private event operations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and hospitality.
  • Build relationships with promoters, entertainers, DJs, concierges, corporate clients, influencers, and local businesses.
  • Partner with Marketing to execute promotions, activations, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Drive guest traffic, private events, and overall venue performance.
  • Manage labor, inventory, purchasing, and operating expenses.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, alcohol service standards, and applicable laws.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and professional environment for guests and employees.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, nightlife, restaurants, entertainment, or experiential venues.
  • Experience opening, launching, or scaling hospitality concepts preferred.
  • Proven experience leading high-volume operations and guest-facing teams.
  • Strong business, financial, and operational acumen.
  • Experience with private events, entertainment programming, partnerships, or nightlife operations preferred.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, and retaining hospitality professionals.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Existing relationships within New York City's hospitality, entertainment, or nightlife industries are a plus.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced hospitality and nightlife environment.
  • Frequent evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
  • Exposure to loud music, crowded guest areas, and high-volume service periods.
  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the venue.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.

Compensation

Total Compensation Range: $80,000-$135,000 (Base Salary + Discretionary Performance Bonus)

Performance bonus opportunities may be tied to:

  • Venue revenue growth
  • Food and beverage performance
  • Private event sales
  • Entertainment programming and activations
  • Sponsorship and partnership initiatives
  • Achievement of overall business objectives

This is an opportunity to help build something from the ground up while making a lasting impact on the team, the guest experience, and the future of Rojo Room.

If you're passionate about hospitality, thrive in high-energy environments, and are excited by the opportunity to launch a new venue, we encourage you to apply.

Golf Entertainment Group, Puttery, and its Rojo Room affiliation are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and maintaining a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. We foster a respectful, inclusive environment where all employees and applicants are treated fairly in accordance with applicable laws.
