Job description

Salary Range: $19.00/ hour - 23.00/hour
Position Summary: The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all during events. Operating within a high-traffic, high-visibility venue, an Officer will play a key role in conflict de-escalation, incident reporting, and coordination with internal teams and external partners. This position requires strong situational awareness, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while upholding safety standards.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Operate screening equipment to ensure safe and compliant guest entry.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in image detection while operating X-ray screening systems.
  • Guide guests through metal detection procedures with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Conduct thorough and respectful searches of guest bags and personal belongings.
  • Clearly communicate venue policies and procedures to guests.
  • Provide accurate directions and respond to guest inquiries with a customer-focused approach.
  • Observe and report unusual activity or safety concerns across the venue campus.
  • Perform visual screening and maintain logs of vehicle entries at loading docks.
  • Respond appropriately and efficiently to emergencies.
  • Generate detailed and objective incident reports for documentation and follow-up.
  • Escort individuals to and from designated areas within the facility as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Formal Education & Certification:
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certified or willing to become certified within six months of employment.

Knowledge & Experience:
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity with security protocols, access control procedures, and incident documentation.
  • Prior experience with EVOLV, Ceia metal detection, and/or X-ray screening systems preferred.
  • Prior experience with video surveillance systems and monitoring preferred.
  • Previous experience in a security-related field, experience in a uniformed contract Security Company, military, or law enforcement preferred.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Demonstrated reliability, dependability, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on maintaining a positive guest experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management.
  • High attention to detail and situational awareness in fast-paced settings.
  • Proven ability to remain calm, composed, and responsive in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Receptive to direction and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Work Conditions:
  • This position works irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on events.
  • Lifting requirements include being able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc., for the entirety of the shift.
  • Available to work at Wild games, concerts, and other events. This may vary depending on evolving business needs.
  • Able to walk up and down steps.
