Overview

Under the direction of the operations/housekeeping supervisor or designate, the Housekeeper will perform a variety of tasks related to cleaning and sanitizing the building to standards and protocols on a daily basis and after concerts, games, and events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00-$17.00 CAD

This position will remain open until July 31, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with large event preparation and event needs as well as set up meeting room spaces as required using event day checklists and/or data sheets.
  • Ensure all public areas and washrooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, restocking as necessary during events.ย 
  • Perform building cleaning to meet sanitation requirements and protocols, including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and sanitizing of the building using checklists Sign off on completed work with date, time, and initials.
  • Report any supply shortages/needs to the housekeeping supervisor or designate.
  • Maintain and clean equipment at all times.
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
  • Report all work hazards to Housekeeping Operations/Supervisor or designee.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns as required.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and fans.
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience cleaning a business facility preferred.
  • Must have valid WHIMIS, First Aid, CPR, and AED or be willing to obtain them in the first 3 months of employment.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays, and extended numbers of days.
  • Able to work independently and under minimal supervision.
  • Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to use Windows-based computer systems and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
