Job description

POSITION: Building Electrician
DEPARTMENT: Electrical/Facilities
REPORTS TO: Electrical Supervisor/Director of Facilities
FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt
SALARY: $27.50

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an immediate opening for a Building Electrician at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center & Entertainment Center. Under general supervision of the Electrical Supervisor & Director of Facilities, the Electrician's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility electrical systems (120/208v, 120/240v, and 277/480v) and lighting systems, providing temporary power for food and beverage, and distributing show power for certain events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required to perform commercial/industrial electrical work, including M &R of all electrical systems.
Install receptacles, lighting fixtures, change ballasts and lamps.
Provide temporary show power, when required, for certain events and for food and beverage.
Assist other departments when required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus successful completion of classroom electrical program or on-the-job electrical training.
2-4 years electrician work experience.
Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
Knowledge of electrical codes.
Knowledge of proper use of tools, techniques, and equipment in the electrical trade.
Must be able to work all shifts as needed: days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must have basic tools used in the electrical trade.
