Job description

The Sunday morning armed security position is a part-time role dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of an event center every Sunday morning. The security officer will be responsible for protecting property and individuals through vigilant surveillance, patrolling, and emergency response. This role requires a highly reliable, physically fit individual with strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to use security technology such as body cameras and radios. Reporting directly to the Security Supervisor, the officer will maintain a professional presence and assist visitors as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Control access and monitor checkpoints at event center entrances
  • Conduct regular patrols to ensure property protection
  • Use body cameras and radio communication equipment effectively
  • Maintain surveillance to identify and report suspicious activities
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and incidents
  • Prepare detailed incident reports
  • Provide assistance and maintain positive interactions with customers

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in armed security
  • Current level 3 Guard Card with duty belt, gun, and level 3 retention holster
  • Proficient in firearm handling, surveillance, and emergency response
  • Physically fit with a clean-cut appearance
  • Strong conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to work Sundays 8:30AM to 1:30PM
  • Experienced in patrolling and incident reporting
  • Demonstrated reliability and professional conduct

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with event center security protocols
  • Experience using body cameras and radio communication devices
