Job description

Mills James is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Live Event Associate Producer to join our growing Live Events team. This junior level producer role supports the creative and logistical execution of live events, virtual experiences, and large scale productions. The Associate Producer independently manages small to mid sized events while supporting senior producers on larger, more complex projects.

This position is ideal for an emerging producer who thrives in collaborative environments, communicates confidently with clients, and enjoys bringing creative ideas to life. The role is based in office for pre production planning and teamwork, with up to 30% travel for on site event support.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Production
  • Manage the full lifecycle of small to mid sized live events
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and clients
  • Oversee schedules, cue sheets, run of show documents, and production timelines
  • Proposal & Budgeting
  • Collaborate with Account Leads and Production Managers to develop estimates, proposals, and budgets
  • Track project financials and support cost effective decision making
  • Creative Coordination
  • Support content development and collaborate with designers, editors, and technical leads
  • Provide creative direction for graphics, presentation materials, and video elements
  • Ensure all creative assets align with event messaging and brand standards
  • On Site Leadership
  • Show call and lead on site execution for assigned events
  • Manage client expectations and support technical teams during live production
  • Step into operational roles as needed to ensure smooth event flow
  • Post Event & Collaboration
  • Lead event wrap up, including asset delivery, documentation, and debriefs

  • Strong communication, organizational, and client facing skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% and work evenings/weekends as needed
