ResponsibilitiesLead the implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise security platforms, including SIEM, EDR, and comprehensive security monitoring tools.
Develop and maintain advanced detection rules, threat intelligence integrations, and alerting logic to support proactive threat hunting.
Direct full-lifecycle cybersecurity incident investigations, encompassing root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and incident response playbook development.
Manage comprehensive vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation programs to deliver measurable risk reduction.
Design and enforce secure configuration baselines, hardening standards, and zero-trust architecture principles across network and endpoint environments.
Implement and govern security controls within cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized or virtualized environments (Kubernetes, Docker, VMware).
Drive enterprise data security initiatives, overseeing data classification, protection policies, and data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities.
Collaborate with MSSPs, third-party SOCs, and internal infrastructure teams to evaluate new technologies and optimize security services.
Mentor junior cybersecurity professionals and advise leadership on strategic planning, roadmap development, and program maturity.
Support adversary emulation, penetration testing, and control validation activities by leveraging blue, red, or purple team experience.
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (an equivalent combination of education and 12+ years of relevant experience will be considered).
8+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience in enterprise cybersecurity engineering, architecture, and security operations.
Expert-level technical proficiency in configuring and managing SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS platforms.
Proven experience securing modern cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP) and containerized ecosystems (Kubernetes, Docker, VMware).
Demonstrated ability to align enterprise security controls with strict regulatory frameworks, including NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.
Strong operational background in vulnerability management, enterprise incident response, and utilizing threat frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
CISSP or GIAC certifications are highly preferred (CySA+, CCSP, CISM, GCIH, or OSCP are considered strong assets).
Ability to support occasional evening, weekend, and after-hours incident response requirements as needed.
