Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Drive wheelchair buses to designated destinations in accordance with schedules
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle. Using proper wheelchair securement equipment and process.
  • Perform pre and posttrip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatch as needed
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Ability to pass criminal background checks, DOT physical and drug screen and also DOT Clearinghouse check.

    Experience:
  • Previous experience in wheelchair passenger commercial bus driving.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects when necessary
  • Experience with paratransit bus driving.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must have valid CDL class C or higher driver's license with a clean driving record, passenger endorsement and no N1 or N2 restrictions.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
