Manny's Parkside is looking for a dedicated team member to join our team in the position of Food Runner/Busser. This position is part-time with various shift availabilities ranging from day, evening, and weekend. This position will be responsible for the transportation of food and dishes too and from guests tables. 
Position Summary:
The Food Runner/Busser position is an integral part of a restaurant kitchen team, especially in busy restaurants. This position plays a crucial role in delivering a seamless dining experience for guests.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and ensure timely delivery to guests.
  • Transport food from the kitchen to the appropriate tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  • Verify food orders before delivering them to guests, addressing any discrepancies or special requests.
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to prioritize orders and manage multiple food deliveries efficiently.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, working as part of a team to deliver a seamless dining experience for guests.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper handling and storage of food items
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring a clean and inviting dining experience for guests.
  • Remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables, and transport them to kitchen for cleaning.
  • Polish cups and silverware when they come from dish.
  • Roll silverware as it is polished during down times.
  • Replenish supplies such as napkins, condiments and beverages as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including sweeping, wiping down tables, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with sanitation guidelines.
  • Provide support to the front of house team as needed.
