As a Guest Services Attendant, you will be the first and last impression for our guests, ensuring that they feel warmly welcomed and well-cared for throughout their stay. Whether greeting guests as they arrive, providing local recommendations, or handling their luggage, you will help create a seamless and memorable experience.
This position is a combination of Bell, Door, and Valet Attendant duties, and requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and excellent guest service skills. You will also play a critical role in assisting guests with their inquiries, room orientations, and transportation needs, contributing to a luxurious and personalized stay at Alila Napa Valley.
Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00/hr + tips

Responsibilities:
• Greet guests upon arrival with warmth and enthusiasm, ensuring a personalized welcome to the resort.
• Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles from the front drive.
• Assist guests with luggage, providing room orientations.
• Deliver resort information, including directions, local attractions, dining recommendations, and events, while maintaining excellent knowledge of the Napa Valley area.
• Provide a fond farewell to departing guests, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a smooth checkout process.
• Help the Concierge and Front Desk with special requests, guest deliveries, and other tasks as needed.
• Assist guests with off-property errands, including transportation to nearby attractions, as requested.
• Ensure cleanliness in high-traffic areas, including the driveway, and resort entrance, while maintaining the cleanliness of luggage carts.
• Perform shoe-shine services, including picking up shoes from guest rooms, polishing them, and returning them to guests.
• Audit vehicles parked for accurate guest charges.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere, preparing for inclement weather and preparing the arrival area.

Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a luxury resort, hotel, or restaurant environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of Napa Valley and surrounding areas is desirable but not required.
• Must be flexible with scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with ease.
• Physical ability to lift and move luggage and drive vehicles safely.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for the duration of shift (up to 8+ hours).
• Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of luggage, packages, and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to retrieve or place items.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles of various sizes safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles, including SUVs and vans.
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Clear vision and depth perception to safely drive and navigate vehicles.
• Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with guests and colleagues in person and via radio.
Work Environment:
• High guest interaction in a luxury hospitality setting; requires maintaining a professional, welcoming, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with frequent exposure to varying weather conditions.
• Fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks simultaneously, often under time-sensitive conditions.
• Requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business levels demand.
• Collaborative work environment with regular communication and coordination across Front Office, Concierge, and other guest-facing departments.
